As European companies continue to adopt advanced technologies, the focus is shifting towards how these solutions can support workers, improve working conditions and strengthen organisational performance.
The SEISMEC Workshop 3 on Human-Centric Companies: Insights from Industry 5.0 Innovations brings together pilot companies and European projects to present how human-centred approaches are being applied in real industrial settings. The session will be held as an open online workshop, welcoming participants from across Europe.
What will be covered?
The workshop will provide practical insight into how companies are integrating technology with worker participation and organisational change. Participants will hear directly from pilot companies involved in SEISMEC, BRIDGES 5.0, and PROSPECTS 5.0, gaining a clear view of how Industry 5.0 principles are implemented in practice.
The session will address:
- how employees are involved in the design and deployment of new solutions
- what types of technologies and practices are being introduced
- how companies deal with organisational and technical challenges.
Learning from real company cases
At the centre of the workshop are four pilot company presentations. Each case will explain the company context, its role within the project and the progress achieved so far. Particular attention will be given to how workers contribute to decision-making processes through workshops, interviews or co-creation activities.
The presentations will also examine the barriers companies face when introducing new technologies and the solutions adopted to address them. This provides a realistic perspective on what it takes to apply human-centric approaches within operational environments.
The workshop includes a joint discussion where participants can compare the different pilot experiences and reflect on how these approaches may apply to their own organisations.
