As European companies continue to integrate advanced technologies into their operations, the conversation is evolving, from what technology can do, to how it can be designed around the people who use it.
The second edition of the online workshop Human-Centric Companies: Insights from Real-World Industry 5.0 Innovations, organised within the SEISMEC project, brings together pilot companies and European projects to share first-hand experiences of human-centric approaches in real industrial settings. The session will be held as an open online workshop via Zoom, welcoming participants from across Europe.
📅 Date: 13 May | ⏰ Time: 12:00–14:00 CET | 📍 Online – Zoom
Inside the workshop: a practical deep dive
This two-hour workshop offers practical insight into how companies are combining technological innovation with worker participation, skill development and organisational change. Participants will hear directly from pilot companies involved in SEISMEC, AI REDGIO 5.0 and SKillAIbility, gaining a concrete view of how Industry 5.0 principles are being put into practice.
The session will address:
- How employees are involved in the design and deployment of new technologies
- What human-centric approaches are being introduced across different industrial contexts
- How companies are building more inclusive and resilient workplaces
- How organisations overcome technical and structural challenges along the way
Real pilots, real results
At the heart of the workshop are presentations from four pilot companies, each offering a grounded account of their experience within their respective projects. Presentations will cover company context, project involvement and progress achieved, with particular attention to how workers contribute to decision-making, through co-creation activities, workshops and hands-on engagement.
The cases will also explore the barriers companies encounter when introducing new technologies and the practical solutions adopted to address them, offering a realistic picture of what human-centric transformation looks like from the inside.
The workshop closes with an open discussion, giving participants the opportunity to compare experiences across pilots and reflect on how these approaches could apply to their own organisations.
