Innovation starts with the next generation. That is why SEISMEC was proud to be represented at the FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) European Premier Event 2026, held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, from 16–20 June 2026, through the participation of Pink to the Future, the robotics team from Maerlant College in The Hague.
Throughout the competition, the team displayed the SEISMEC logo on their robot, helping introduce the project and its vision of human-centred digital innovation to students, educators, and robotics enthusiasts from across Europe.
The FTC European Premier Event welcomed more than 100 robotics teams from over 35 countries, making it one of Europe’s largest educational robotics competitions. Over five days, participants demonstrated their engineering, programming, and teamwork skills through robot challenges, alliance matches, STEM activities, and company visits.
Competing against some of Europe’s strongest young robotics teams, Pink to the Future achieved an impressive 25th place overall, a remarkable result in such a highly competitive international event.
For SEISMEC, supporting initiatives like this reflects the project’s commitment to fostering a future where technology is developed with people at its centre. The enthusiasm, creativity, and collaboration demonstrated by these students show the importance of encouraging young people to explore robotics, artificial intelligence, and engineering, helping prepare the innovators who will contribute to tomorrow’s human-centred workplaces.
